'Sharp Objects' & 4 Other Must-Watch TV Shows In July | Star2.com

It’s a new month and as usual, there’s a new batch of shows to keep us entertained. Here are five shows we’re looking forward to:

Suits Season Eight

It’s going to be interesting to see how Suits enters its eighth season without main cast members Patrick J. Adams and the newly-wedded Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle. Ex-Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl will join the cast as a new partner in the firm while recurring guest stars Amanda Schull and Dule Hill have been bumped up to series regular. Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty and Rick Hoffman also star.

Suits Season Eight premieres July 19 at 9pm on Diva (Astro Ch 702).

Law Of The Jungle: Sabah

The latest edition of reality survival series Law Of The Jungle is set in Sabah! The South Korean show sees celebrities experiencing life in the wild, from hunting and preparing their own food to building their own shelter. Tune in to see if celebs like Lee Da-hee and WannaOne’s Ha Sung-woon and Ong Seong-wu have what it takes to survive the jungles of Borneo.

Law Of The Jungle: Sabah premieres July 17 at 11pm on One HD (Astro Ch 393).

Sharp Objects

If you loved Gone Girl, then you’ll want to watch Sharp Objects, Gillian Flynn’s first novel which has been adapted into an eight-episode series. Oscar nominee Amy Adams plays crime reporter Camille who returns to her hometown in Missouri to investigate the murder of two young girls. Patricia Clarkson, Elizabeth Perkins and Chris Messina co-star.

Sharp Objects premieres July 9 at 9am on HBO (Astro Ch 411).

Sacred Games

Netflix’s first Indian original series, Sacred Games, opens with Mumbai cop Sartaj getting an anonymous tip about the whereabouts of crime lord Ganesh. As the two get involved in a cat-and-mouse chase, they realise that something much bigger is at work. Starring Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte.

Sacred Games premieres July 6 on Netflix.

Sweet Dreams

The line between fantasy and reality blurs in this 50-episode Chinese drama. Colleagues Ling Ling and Bai Hai take part in their company’s experimental test on a bracelet which promises to improve one’s sleep. During the test, a malfunction occurs, allowing Ling Ling to enter into Bai Hai’s dreams. The two begin to draw closer together in this dream world. But can they separate what’s real and what’s not? Starring Dilraba Dilmurat and Deng Lun.
